Studieren an der Fakultät WW

On November 4, we met with Elene Jgarkava (Head of the Business School), Ketevan Karbaia (Director of the International Relations Department), and Ani Tavartkiladze (Deputy Director of the International Relations Department) at CU. Our hosts organized a campus tour, during which we met CU students participating in the summer school in September 2025. The meeting focused on discussing future cooperation between the two universities within EU and DAAD projects.

That same day, we met with the DAAD office in Tbilisi. With Nino Antadze (Deputy Head of the Regional DAAD Office), we discussed the current political situation in Georgia and options for DAAD support for future projects.

On November 6, we met with colleagues at ASUE in Yerevan. During a meeting with Lusine Danielyan (Head of Internationalization), Ani Petrosyan (Acting Head of the International Relations Division), and Tatev Vardanyan (Head of the Career Center), we discussed ways to continue cooperating with ASUE within EU and DAAD projects. We also visited the ASUE campus, located in the city center of Yerevan, and met with some of the summer school participants from September. It was interesting to hear their personal impressions of the school.

Overall, the trip was very interesting and productive. We plan to apply for a new DAAD project in the "Eastern Partnerships" call, in which all three universities will continue their collaboration. 

Praxis trifft Hochschule

Den Auftakt bildete eine Keynote von Karsten Rogall, Geschäftsführer der Leipziger Gruppe. In seinem Vortrag gab er spannende Einblicke in aktuelle und geplante Infrastrukturprojekte und zeigte auf, wie sich Leipzigs Stadt- und Versorgungsstrukturen in den kommenden Jahren entwickeln sollen. Dabei standen Themen wie nachhaltige Stadtentwicklung, technologische Innovationen und die Herausforderungen des städtischen Wachstums im Mittelpunkt.

Austausch im Company Talk

Im anschließenden Company Talk führte Prof. Dr. Björn Höhlig von der Fakultät Bauwesen mit großem Engagement durch die Diskussion. Es entwickelte sich ein lebendiger Austausch darüber, welche Erwartungen Unternehmen an Studierende und zukünftige Mitarbeitende haben und welche Kompetenzen im Berufsalltag besonders gefragt sind.
Deutlich wurde: Praxisorientiertes Denken, Eigeninitiative und Kommunikationsstärke sind Schlüsselfaktoren für eine erfolgreiche Ingenieurkarriere.

Offene Gespräche beim Get-together

Beim anschließenden Get-together nutzten viele Studierende die Gelegenheit, mit den Unternehmensvertreterinnen und -vertretern in entspannter Atmosphäre weiter ins Gespräch zu kommen. Das Feedback fiel durchweg positiv aus: Sowohl Studierende als auch Unternehmen lobten die angenehme Stimmung und die inhaltlich wertvollen Gespräche.
