Prof. Dr. Stephan Knabe
Honorarprofessur International Taxation
Zur Person: After studying economics, business administration, and commercial law at the University of Potsdam and the Free University of Berlin, he spent five years working internationally at KPMG S&IC (Strategy and Innovation Center). He spent several years as a lecturer at the University of Riga, teaching international accounting and tax law. Doctorate (Dr. oec.).
Since 2003, he has been working in his own medium-sized firm (60 employees) as a tax advisor, auditor, and specialist consultant for international tax law. In 2025, he became a founding partner of Afileon, now one of the ten largest tax consulting and auditing firms in Germany. Since 2021, he has been a lecturer at HTWK Leipzig for international tax law.
